I made a video blog post…

I started a new video channel for Awesome Vegan Blog.

I’ll be trying to post more and more videos and start to build a presence on youtube.

This is what my life looks like when I first wake up… I usually reach for food before I even brush my teeth or put on a shirt! :p

This video is about sprouted manna bread and dark chocolate (for breakfast!) and some of the reasons why these foods can be healthy…

Fine &Raw Chocolate, Brooklyn (New York!)

Fine & Raw Chocolate is awesome. They are located in an industrial brick factory. The bean to bar process happens all on site. Every bean is hand sorted. The chocolates are high quality and delicious.

You can even get a hot chocolate (with milk) to drink in the factory!

Kookie Karma – Holistic Choco Lot

I ate a cookie today from Kookie Karma (which, sadly, I read, will be no more…).
I am grateful to have experienced it, before it will be gone.
Here is my cookie review:

This cookie is amazing. Best vegan cookie to date.
It is soft and luscious. There are little chocolate chips or chunks. I could say: delicious.

It was satisfying, there was just enough of it. Organic. Vegan. Awesome.

Vegan Cookies (oatmeal raisin chocolate chip)

100% organic, vegan whole food chocolate chip raisin oatmeal cookies.


Make flour from Buckwheat groats, rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, Himalayan salt, dates, 70% cacao (stone ground) dark chocolate, maple sugar. (For lower glycemic use cocoa nibs and a little xylitol)



Save 20% of flour.


Blend the rest with soaked raw cashews, vanilla extract, and a little almond milk. Fold back into the remaining oat/date flour. Add raisins (I used golden raisins).20130315-192112.jpg

Spray baking sheet with coconut oil.
Form balls with batter and coat with coconut shreds. Insert chocolate chips.



Bake at 330 Fahrenheit for 25 minutes (would be good dehydrated, too.. for a raw food version).


Serve with a glass of (unsweetened) almond milk.
