Ingredients
• 2 tbsp Ground Flaxseed
• 6 tbsp Warm Water
• 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
• 1 tsp Baking Soda
• 1 cup of Vegan Butter Substitute
• 1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
• 1 tsp Cardamom
• 1 tsp Cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
• 1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
• 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
• 1/4 tsp Allspice
• 1/8 tsp Ground Black Pepper
• 1 1/3 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Detailed instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375-380 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine the flaxseed and water in a mixing bowl. Allow the mixture to become gelatinous while you wait.
- Combine the flour and baking soda in a mixing bowl. Remove from the equation.
- Combine the butter substitute, sugar, and spices in a large mixing bowl. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy.
- Beat the flaxseed mixture for about 2 minutes with the margarine mixture.
- Mix in the flour mixture until it is thoroughly mixed.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
- Drop rounded portions of dough onto baking sheets that haven’t been oiled and bake for 10–11 minutes.
- Cool for 2 minutes on baking pans before transferring to the cooling rack.
